Multicultural counselling

The Centre for Multicultural Counselling has recently been introduced as a new specialised counselling service to provide support for international students and their families. Ivy Chinyu Chung (Master in Counselling) and Lenurse Chen (Master in Psychology - Counselling) are both bilingual (English and Mandarin) advanced students who have started off this pilot program and are offering counselling free of charge.

Dr. Nicky Jacobs, Psychologist at the Krongold Centre believes that the counselling initiative "came out of the need to balance the opportunities for training of International students and establish a counselling service catering to the wider community".

It is anticipated that this service will develop further with the addition of new counsellors from diverse backgrounds.
