About the bursaries
The Faculty of Education at Monash University is offering five Indigenous Student Scholarships to assist and encourage Indigenous Australians to undertake studies in Education.
Successful recipients will have their Higher Education Contribution Scheme debt discharged up-front each year for a maximum period of 5 years, or until their course of study is complete, whichever is earliest.
You may apply for the Faculty of Education Indigenous Student Scholarship if:
- You are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent;
- You are seeking to undertake an undergraduate degree in Education at Monash University ;
- You have not previously undertaken an undergraduate degree at a University.
Monash Education offers Australian Indigenous students degrees in:
- early childhood
- primary education
- sport and outdoor recreation
Double degrees combined with a range of courses including arts, commerce, IT, music, science, visual arts, and sport and outdoor recreation are offered in:
- primary education
- secondary education
The Faculty of Education is located across three campuses - Clayton, Gippsland and Peninsula and is one of the largest in Australia with a national and international reputation for excellence.
The Centre for Australian Indigenous Studies (CAIS) is located at Clayton and is working in collaboration with the Faculty of Education to support Indigenous students while they undertake studies at Monash University.
