International projects and programsThe Faculty of Education has extensive experience in developing, implementing and delivering projects around the world. The International Unit manages a variety of international projects, including:
Our programs have been customised and developed for international government departments, private organisations, educational institutions, and professional bodies. Funding has also been drawn from the public and private sector and from non-government organisations and individuals (or a combination). Recent international professional development programsAn example of a typical International Program is an 8-week English immersion program for a group interested in English language education.
 Designed to immerse participants in an English-rich environment, provide workshops that explore language learning principles, and organise relevant school placements. Cultural visits, social events and accommodation is arranged. In some cases, credit towards postgraduate units can be awarded based on eligibility of participant assessment criteria. Hong Kong: working with a variety of institutions to provide short English language immersion programs to groups of teachers and tertiary students Malaysia: working with government and learning institutions to offer study tours and tailored postgraduate degrees to current and emergent school leaders which offer networking and professional development opportunities Korea: offering groups of TESOL teachers short professional development programs and student placement exchange programs China: TESOL professional development programs for secondary school teachers Philippines: programs delivered in a mixture of locations on -site and in Australia, with a focus on adult education, and up-skilling workplace trainers Indonesia: working with government departments and local educational providers to deliver credit bearing programs to English language teachers Contact usIf you would like to participate in an English immersion program or you would like a study program tailored for your group of students, please contact the International Unit.
