Biography

Anita Forsyth is currently a lecturer in teacher education at Monash University where her areas of interest are Economics and Business Studies education, SOSE/Studies of Society and Environment/Humanities curriculum, economic literacy, teaching, learning and assessment and civics and citizenship education issues, school improvement and accountability, leadrship and professional learning.Anita has authored a number of economics, SOSE and business studies textbooks and journal articles (some examples are listed below). She is the editor of the economics section of Compak - the Victorian Commercial Teachers Association (VCTA) professional journal for teachers. She regularly speaks at professional development seminars and conferences for educators.Anita is currently Chair - Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority's (VCAA) VCE Economics Exam Setting Panel and is Chief Assessor.Anita co-authored the current VCE Economics Study Design (syllabus), and authored the Teacher Advice, assessment advice and both school based and exam based assessment criteria.
