Booking conditions for 2008 tour

Cost of tour

Full price $6200
Discounted price for Monash students $5950

These prices are based on shared accommodation, ex Melbourne. For single accommodation, departure from other cities, or early departure, please contact one of the tour leaders for a price.

You may pay by cheque or by credit card (mail or fax to the secure fax number provided in the application form)

Students enrolled in EDF6324 may apply for a $500 rebate from Monash Abroad; however the full price of the tour must be paid first.

What the price includes

Air and rail travel, shared accommodation, breakfasts, fees for classes and visits to institutes, at least two concerts, taxi transfers where necessary, at least two dinners. Within Europe , most travel will be by train.

What is not included

Lunches and most dinners, travel insurance (required), museum entrance fees, local city transport, extra tours or sightseeing, spending money, any visas required (none are needed by holders of Australian passports).

Payment schedule

29 June 2007 - $500. Non-refundable (unless tour is cancelled).

1 October 2007 - Balance. Non-refundable.

Newsletters

Participants will receive newsletters during the second half of 2007, with further details, background information and travel advice.

Insurance

All participants must take out their own insurance to cover cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident or illness, loss of possessions and public liability. You must take out insurance by the time you pay the balance on 1 October, but do not do so until the tour leaders have confirmed that we have the numbers to proceed with the tour.

Other conditions

  • Alterations may be made to the published itinerary and arrangements as the organizers deem fit.
  • Monash University reserves the right to cancel the tour (in which case a full refund will be made).
  • Each participant is responsible for obtaining a passport before the end of November 2007. Passports must be valid for 6 months from departure date.
  • Monash University accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from or related to participation in the 'European Perspectives On Music' Study Tour.
  • Any extra tax or fuel surcharge imposed after the publication of this brochure will be added to the cost of the tour.
